Called at 11am, Tanker the technician was here at 1pm, and kept me informed when he was on his way. He saw the broken drive belt problem right away, and had it swapped out in thirty minutes.  He was very polite, didn’t waste any time, and fixed the problem. He even handled my amateur questions with ease.   I can highly recommend Banko!

We built our home in 2006 and Banko put the garage door in for the builder. There was the sticker on the door with the number. Last month (9 years later) I noticed the drive belt of the door sort of shredding and pulling apart. Within a week the door wasn’t closing properly so I called Banko Door. They came out and found the part I needed and was even cheaper than form the manufacture. They serviced the door, made it very quiet and replaced the belt within an hour. We have a very quiet door and it’s perfect. He also showed me how I could service the door myself with lubricant and where to put it on. Used them for you garage door and not just the opener, but the door as well. We have a very strong steel, reinforced door.

My garage door opener was very confusing and hard to understand. I thought I needed a new entire garage door opener. Mike came out and explain to me that I didn’t need a new garage door opener at all but instead just needed to know how to work my garage door opener. We just have a new door and opener installed. The salesman who came to our home was very knowledgeable and was not pushy at all. Once we decided on Banko it was only a matter of a few days until they installed it. The installer came on time and he had everything installed in 3 1/2 hrs. He took time to explain everything and made sure we fully understood the operation.

Banko technician came to our home to replace the weather stripping along the sides and bottom of our garage door. It was in rough shape and we could see sunlight on all sides. When I called Banko they first asked if we had access to our cars and did we need immediate assistance.  As we were ok they scheduled an appointment to repair the door later that afternoon at my convenience. One of them didn’t know the specific garage door product we wanted was indeed available and the other shot himself in the foot making a comment about our financial status after he asked about a glass “wall” we installed. When the cost of our insulated and impact rated garage door was initially misquoted, a reasonable discount was provided to help ease the pain of my previous commitment to the purchase. At my request Robbie spoke with my contractor regarding any additional installation concerns and reviewed the job with his installer prior to scheduled installation. The installer was very experienced and equally friendly. My experience overall was great despite couple “hiccups”. This was our first garage door work. Our over 30 year old doors that came with the house had to be replaced. I had my garage door installed in 2009 and a couple of months ago it started making a terrible screeching noise. When I called to make an appointment to have the door serviced, the person told me I would most likely need the springs replaced. When the technician showed up, on time, he inspected the springs and told me they were fine and that it was just the bearings on the door needing greasing. He did a full maintenance on the door and opener. He was in and out in no time. He was very professional. There was the opportunity to upsell me into purchasing new springs, but he saved me hundreds by being honest. We are building a new home in Riverview and will be using Banko to install and maintain the garage door openers.

The service person who came to my house to install my new opener (which I purchased from them for my new home) was awesome. He was knowledgeable and taught me how to use the Wi-Fi on my opener and programmed it with me to help me understand. He was very neat and tidy, making sure all the wires looked nice when he finished and even swept up after the little mess made from putting things in. Prior to this our door without an opener fell off the track at night, a Banko door representative came and put the door down (600 pounds) and sent people to fix the door the next day. Way cool!

This is the second time I’ve had Banko out to fix my garage door. This time a spring broke. I called for service on Sunday, I was told it would be more expensive and if I could wait till Monday the cost would be minimal. I scheduled a time, “Tanker” called me before, arrived on time, fixed my door, made several adjustments and for now charge reinforced something he found that might cause future problems. All in less than one hour. The next day I noticed that the door was not going down fully, called “Tanker” directly and he came over to adjust the height. I have been nothing but impressed by these guys. Great service, fair treatment, and quality work. Highest recommendations for them.

We have used Banko a handful of times over the last 13 years. Our garage door is heavily used so we do wear the springs out a bit more than others. Each and every time, they have come out quickly and made the necessary repairs quickly. The technicians are always pleasant and while they do make recommendations you never feel that you are being up sold. The pricing is fair too.

When I called Banko doors for an estimate for replacing the seal along the bottom of the garage they were very responsive and gave me a quote right away.  They then offered to send a Service Tech. out the next day for which I did set the appointment. The technician arrived at the time set for the appointment after having called me earlier to let me know that he had the service call and approximate time that he would arrive.  He installed the new seal and then we discussed the condition of the weather strip around the door that had been there for a few decades. He gave me a fair price to replace them so I had him do it.  He did an excellent job. All that I have to do now is to caulk around the new weather strips. Once he finished the weather strip installation he made sure that the area was all cleaned up. He then spent some time adjusting the door which was, he noticed was not level. Before leaving he lubricated the rollers, etc. I was very impressed with the professionalism for the office folks and the service technician Mr. Harlow that was at my home. I requested a company ID sticker from Mr. Harlow and have placed it on the garage wall next to the door opener.  I plan to call them whenever I need any service for the garage door. I would also highly recommend them to anyone I know that is in need of service for their garage door.

I had a spring break on my garage door the other day, I called Banko Overhead doors and they had a technician out the next day. He was very courteous and efficient and had the spring changed out in nothing flat. He took it a step further, I had mentioned to him that when I bought the house that the wiring for the garage door opener was hanging out the door and I had tied it back, he undid what I did and proceeded to run the wiring the correct way and protect the wires inside a track so nothing could touch them, he did this at no additional cost. The price was reasonable. I would recommend the company.

The sales rep was very patient explaining options and she provided an estimate in a timely manner. The installer showed up at the designated time, removed the old door and installed the new one in an appropriate amount of time. He also provided suggestions for maintenance of the new door and old opener, as well as suggestions for an opener when the time comes to replace the old one.

I talked to a sales representative and they sent someone out to fix my garage door. Within 5 days everything was fixed and everything is back to normal. The pricing is good compared to most, and the young gentleman gave great service!

One of our door springs broke on Saturday 06/04/2016, so we called our former garage door company that had installed the door originally. Their tech arrived later that day and replaced both springs but in the process he broke the belt to our 3-yr old opener, which they had also installed. The tech said they no longer serviced that brand of opener because they were “junk” and he couldn’t help us, so I had to open the door manually. Unfortunately, the tech had not properly balanced the new springs, so my wife was unable to manually open the door.  Not good. Rather than replace the belt on what we quickly discovered online to be an inferior brand of opener, we decided to have a new Liftmaster 8550W opener installed. We also decided to find a new garage door company that we could rely on for complete service, not just bare bones service. Banko was the hands down winner based on so many positive reviews on Yelp. We called Banko on Monday 06/06/2016 and they scheduled us to have a new opener installed the following day between 10 am and 12 noon. Keep in mind that Tropical Storm Colin first hit our area on the afternoon of 06/06/2016 and left our area the following morning 06/07/2016. At 11:30 am on 06/07/2016, Dan called us to say he would arrive about an hour later than 12 noon due to the torrential downpours and subsequent traffic problems caused by TS Colin. We were surprised that he was coming at all, much less only an hour behind the original schedule. Dan arrived when he said he would, and had our new opener installed in about an hour. During that same hour, he also tweaked the adjustment of our new springs so that the door was balanced and my wife could now open it manually if need be. And he also lubricated the door rollers and hinges, and programmed a new keypad. Talk about great service! We can’t say enough good about Banko and Dan. We will have only Banko supply all of our garage door and service needs in the future. Thanks!

This was my second time using Banko Overhead Doors. My garage would only open about a foot off the ground. I called Banko and they were able to send out a technician by 8am the next morning. Tanker arrived promptly and immediately knew what my issue was (a broken spring). He replaced my broken spring and replaced the other spring (as I asked) in 30 minutes. He thoroughly answered my questions and was very kind. My 5 year old son loves watching things like this and asking umpteen questions, Tanker was very patient with him and happily answered. I would definitely use Banko again as well as refer them to family and friends.

A spring in our garage door broke one evening. The next day, a technician was sent to repair the door, giving us a window of between 12 noon and 4 pm. At 12:30 pm, the technician was there and ready to repair the door. The spring was an older type and had to be obtained for repair. The technician returned the next morning and the repair was made in less than 20 minutes. Courteous and efficient service. We had used Banko repair at a previous home and would recommend them without hesitation. Fair prices, quick response.

A couple of weekends ago we were heading over to St. Pete on Saturday to visit with friends, and as we left from the front of the garage onto the driveway, we heard a very loud noise. We weren’t sure where it came from, so assumed something was stuck under Ken’s car. We both got out and looked around nothing was there. Can’t figure out what it was, so we headed on over to St. Pete. When we got home (around midnight), we realized that the garage door wasn’t opening, even though the light turned on. After some checking around, we realized the house is locked up pretty tight, but I did find a window that was (thankfully) unlocked so I climbed through. Ken and I went to the garage to see what was wrong, only to find that the big spring that goes across the garage door was longer installed, but had fallen on top of the rails. My car was now a hostage inside the garage. This was July 4th weekend, so on Sunday morning, I called Banko to get a price for them to come fix it. The guy was really nice, let me know that because of it being the weekend & holiday, would be an extra service fee. Since we had Ken’s car to use if needed (it wasn’t being held hostage), I opted to save the extra money and scheduled for repair on Tuesday. When the Banko repair guy arrived, he took time to explain what had happened and what my options were. I like to ask a lot of questions when there’s stuff I haven’t dealt with before, and he was really patient with me on that! The repair wasn’t as bad as it could’ve been and the damage to my garage door was minimal. On top of that, the price was actually lower than was quoted over the phone (yay!) and he was quick to finish. If you ever need garage door repair, you should consider calling Banko!

Our house is an older house and it was badly in need of new doors. We had 3 estimates. Gary, from Banko was the only one who explained the whole procedure to me. He was courteous and friendly. Great, while our estimated time was 2-6pm, the technician arrived just after 6pm. However, He had the issue diagnosed, quoted and fixed within 45 minutes. The cost was far less than we had originally thought it would be, and the tech suggested that we replace the broken springs in case this were to happen again. So we would not be stuck with a door we couldn’t open. We agreed and took the suggestion.

Great service! Our garage door would not open and the only number we had was the manufacturers. They redirected us to Banko Overhead Doors. We had an appointment scheduled in no time and a gentleman showed up on time. He identified the issue right away (conveyor belt) and fixed the problem rapidly. Now the door opens much more quietly!
